San Francisco 49ers wide receiver Deebo Samuelis active for Sunday's game against the New England Patriots.
Samuel missed the 49ers' loss to the Los Angeles Ramslast weekend with a calf injury. He was a limited participant Thursday and Friday after not practicing Wednesday and had been listed as questionable to play.
"I came back feeling pretty good, and we went to practice the past two days and still feeling good," Samuel said Friday. "So we'll just see how it goes."
His calf injury occurred late in a Week 2 loss to the Minnesota Vikings, leaving 49ers coach Kyle Shanahan to suggest Samuel would sit out "a couple of weeks." But Shanahan was pleased with his progress this week.
"I think I'm right where I'm supposed to be with the information that I was given and the timeframe fit up pretty well," Samuel said Friday.
The 49ers will also be getting tight end George Kittle (hamstring) back, while left tackle Trent Williams is also active after being questionable to play due to a sore toe.
Safety Talanoa Hufanga is inactive after he injured his ankle in Thursday's practice. He will miss his third game of the season.
Hufanga had returned last week after recovering from an ACL tear in his right knee last season. The Niners elevated safety Jaylen Mahoney from the practice squad for additional depth, though rookie Malik Mustapha figures to get most of the snaps in Hufanga's stead with George Odum also available.
