Los Angeles Angels first baseman Brandon Drury exited Wednesday afternoon's game atPittsburgh Pirates in the bottom of the seventh inning due to left hamstring tightness.
Nolan Schanuel took over at first for Drury, who was 2-for-3 with a run and an RBI before leaving. Drury doubled twice, including a shot to the wall in left during a three-run outburst in the sixth by Los Angeles.
He will be evaluated when the Angels return home on Thursday.
Los Angeles held a 5-4 lead at the time of Drury's departure and that became the final score.
In 30 games this season, the 31-year-old Drury is batting .173 with one home run and six RBIs. He is in his second season with the Angels, who got 26 homers and 83 RBIs from him in 2023.
