We all know athletics can offer an emotional thrill, physical benefits, plus a great topic of conversation; but what should parents know before signing kids up for sports? ABC30 finds answers. ABC30 sports anchors Tommy Tran and Chris Alvarez host a half-hour special, "Children First: Kids and Sports," Sunday, May 1, 2016 at 6:30PM.
This ABC30 special covers:
Children First is a year-round effort focusing on the challenges, problems and opportunities facing our youth in Central California.
The program shows how the average person can make a difference in a child's life and highlights local organizations working with kids.
The Children First campaign includes half-hour programs like "Kids and Sports," thirty-second public service announcements, and special stories on Action News.
