KANSAS CITY -- One hand, no problem. Chargers receiver Mike Williams made a jaw-dropping one-handed touchdown catch to give the Bolts a 17-7 lead over the Chiefs to open the second half. Quarterback Justin Herbert threw a 15-yard dart to Williams, who made the diving catch with cornerback L'Jarius Sneed tight in coverage. It's the second one-handed touchdown catch of Williams' six-year career.
For his first touchdown pass of the night, Herbert faked a handoff, then looked to his right, where he found fullback Zander Horvath for a 1-yard touchdown pass to give the team a 10-0 lead over the Chiefsto start the second quarter. A seventh-round pick from Purdue, Horvath has now caught a touchdown pass in back-to-back games.
