RENO, Nev. -- - Jarod Lucas' 21 points helped Nevada defeat Fresno State 74-66 on Friday.
Lucas shot 7 for 12 (3 for 6 from 3-point range) and 4 of 4 from the free throw line for the Wolf Pack (24-6, 11-5 Mountain West Conference). Nick Davidson scored 19 points while going 7 of 9 from the floor, including 2 for 4 from 3-point range, and 3 for 4 from the line, and added six rebounds. Hunter McIntosh shot 4 for 9, including 4 for 7 from beyond the arc to finish with 12 points.
The Bulldogs (11-18, 4-12) were led by Isaiah Hill, who posted 16 points, four assists and two steals. Fresno State also got 16 points from Isaac Tavares. Xavier Dusell also had 14 points.
Nevada took the lead with 13:48 remaining in the first half and did not give it up. Davidson led their team in scoring with nine points in the first half to help put them ahead 37-24 at the break. Nevada was outscored by Fresno State in the second half by five points, with Lucas scoring a team-high 12 points after halftime.
Up next for Nevada is a matchup Tuesday with Boise State on the road. Fresno State visits New Mexico on Wednesday.
