MADERA, Calif. (KFSN) -- A big "thank you" is going out to many of you who donated to the Futures Worth Fighting For telethon. Thursday's event benefited Valley Children's Hospital.
Donors kept the phones ringing and helped raise a grand total of $63, 951 during the day-long telethon. The money will pay for vital patient programs and services not covered by insurance at the hospital.
That includes cancer treatments for children like six-year-old Bella Gonsalves who had a message for other kids fighting leukemia.
"All you have to do is be brave and get over it."
Bella and her mom and dad also want to say "thank you" for your donations. ABC30 is one of the proud sponsors of Thursday's Futures Worth Fighting For telethon.
