Tulare County deputies back to square one after arresting wrong man in murder case

TULARE COUNTY (KFSN) -- Tulare County Sheriff's deputies say they arrested the "wrong man" for a murder in Strathmore.

Detectives said they have found new evidence clearing Plainview resident, Solomon Mata, of committing the crime last Friday, and now, they're back to square one in the investigation.

Mata spent the weekend in jail but was released on Monday.
