2 women hospitalized following stabbing in Hanford
Two women are recovering in the hospital after a domestic violence attack in Hanford this morning, that ended in a swat standoff.

HANFORD, Calif. (KFSN) -- Two women are recovering in the hospital after a domestic violence attack in Hanford this morning, that ended in a swat standoff.

Hanford Police responded to the Casa De Sol Apartments on Hanford Armona Road around 9 a.m. Saturday for a call of a man attacking two women.

Officers arrived and found a 29-year-old and a 27-year-old woman suffering from stab wounds.

Investigators say they were stabbed after they tried to leave in a car.

The 30-year-old suspect, identified as George Watley, refused to surrender for about 40 minutes, but finally turned himself into SWAT officers.

The victims were taken to a hospital and are expected to be okay.

Hanford Police say there were six children inside the home at the time of the domestic violence incident, none of them were harmed.
