Movies in the Park backpack giveaway rescheduled due to bad air quality

FRESNO, California (KFSN) -- Due to bad air quality and the expected high temperatures, the City of Fresno and the United Way of Fresno and Madera Counties have cancelled the Movies in the Park - Back to School Night event at Eaton Plaza in Downtown Fresno on Friday.

Organizers say the event usually draws large crowds and with temperatures expected to be at 110 degrees, and the poor air quality, they said they canceled out of concern for the health of those attending.

The event has been rescheduled for 6 p.m. Friday, August 12th at Eaton Plaza.
