The artist behind showstopping Mardi Gras headpieces
A little bit of sparkle and a lot more feathers! Meet the art teacher designing whimsy headdresses that are unique as the festival itself.

GALVESTON, Texas -- Mardi Gras season is a busy time for Megan Maberry, owner of Hurricane Headdress. When she is not working as a full-time art teacher, she designs one-of-a-kind headpieces.

"The headdress adds a lot whimsy, its a conversation piece," Maberry said.

On the weekends, Maberry also leads workshops across Galveston, teaching others how to create their own wearable art.
