Houston's last remaining drive-in movie theater

HOUSTON, Texas -- Only a handful of drive-in movie theaters remain in Texas. One is located east of downtown Houston.

Moonstruck Drive-In features newly released movies and incredible views of the city's skyline.

"The view is beautiful. I mean, you can see the moon, the stars. It's a clear night... there's fresh air," one couple said.

The outdoor theater opened in 2020 during the height of the COVID-19 pandemic. Andrew Thomas is the co-owner.

"I think what we've done over the 5 years is show our customers that we're more than just the pandemic option," Thomas said.
