Diocese of Fresno not ready to call weeping statue of Virgin Mary a Miracle

FRESNO, Calif. (KFSN) -- A weeping statue of the Virgin Mary in Fresno has not only caught a lot of attention online but now the bishop of the Diocese of Fresno is interested.

Bishop Armando Ochoa has seen the story but has not seen the statue in person.

The Diocese is not ready to call this a miracle but it does plan to contact the family who owns the statue and look into it.

In the meantime, people are split, some call the tears a hoax, others are calling them a blessing.
