CLOVIS, Calif. (KFSN) -- A woman is dead, and a man is under arrest after a Saturday morning shooting inside a Clovis home that police are calling domestic violence-related.

Clovis police said they were called to a disturbance at a home on Hampton Way, a neighborhood near Ashlan and Leonard avenues.

Lt. Scott Borsch tells Action News that when officers arrived, they found a woman dead from a gunshot wound. Multiple people were in the house at the time of the shooting, most believed to be family members, including several children.

However, the suspect, 21-year-old Tavion Tapscott of Fresno, was gone. He would turn himself in at the Clovis Police Department shortly after 1 pm.

Tapscott will booked into the Fresno County Jail for homicide and felony child endangerment.

Clovis police say that Tapscott and the victim knew each other, but her identity and their relationship are not being released at this time.
